Dr. Louise Thompson

Louise Thompson is a doctoral-prepared and board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with more than 20 years of nursing expertise and over four years in psychiatry. She uses a holistic approach in promoting wellness and improving the quality of life for patients impacted by mental illness. Through a combination of therapy and medication, she diagnoses and treats patients with a broad array of mental health diagnoses in outpatient, inpatient, residential, and crisis unit settings. She is trained to treat patients across the life span but specializes in adult patients over 18 years old. She is passionate about the underserved population and those who lack access to care due largely to their geographical locations. She strongly believes in engaging and educating patients and their families in understanding their diagnosis and treatment options. Her ultimate goal is to empower and liberate those who suffer from a psychiatric disorder by ensuring that they understand that they are NOT alone and to enable them to function at their highest potential.
